About Dana

Dana Godbout Laake is a Licensed Nutritionist providing preventive and therapeutic medical nutrition services. Her practice, Dana Laake Nutrition, is located in Kensington, Maryland. A health professional for more than 38 years with 25 years in medical nutrition, she is an honors graduate from Temple University with a Master's degree in nutrition from the University of Maryland. In addition to media presentations, writing, radio talk show host and providing professional continuing education courses, Dana Laake has been a Maryland Legislative Assistant on health issues and has served three Gubernatorial appointments on health care regulatory boards. Currently she serves by Governor's appointment on the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice. Her practice includes the nutritional evaluation and treatment of the full spectrum of health issues affecting children and adults. She resides in Kensington with her husband Peter Laake and they have four sons.

Dana Laake Nutrition provides preventive and therapeutic nutritional services. We welcome patients of all ages from prenatal through the elder population. Working in partnership with patients and their health care professionals, we utilize an individualized approach in evaluation and treatment. Our recommendations address the specific goals of each patient and are based on medical history,  family history, conditions, lifestyle, medications, diet, supplementation, physical evaluation, and laboratory testing. Each patient is expected to maintain a primary care provider and specialty care where indicated. Our goal is to complement other health care being provided.
